Should You Use Intermittent Fasting Every Day To Burn More Fat?
Use Science For The Best Way To Burn Fat, Fast: https://ift.tt/2quNi0h Hey guys, Thomas here and a lot of people have been asking me if it's safe to fast every day. Well, I want to talk about this because there are some reasons why you may not want to fast every single day. Let me start first off by saying - I am 100% a proponent of fasting. So even though this video is going to talk about why you may not want to fast every single day, it still has the underlying premise that fasting is good...I just want you to get the most effect from it. So first off, let me give you a few benefits of fasting: 0:40 It promotes autophagy. Autophagy is the body's natural process of recycling old and dead cells. Gut health benefits: fasting gives the digestive system a break, and allows the gut to heal. Fasting will also help reduce inflammation. There is also a decrease in synaptic activity in the brain - meaning it slows down your brain, which sounds bad but it's actually good! It slows down all the extra activity in your brain that doesn't need to be going on...so it helps you become more focused and calm. Now that we have the benefits out of the way, let's talk about fasting every single day. 2:05 Here's the first one: if you fast every single day, eventually you elevate your cortisol levels. Studies have shown that if you fast with no break in between, you can have up to a 50% increase in cortisol levels. 2:30 Exvessive loss of minerals. When you're fasting, you're obviously not consuming food, and therefore minerals. When you do eat, you're getting a small amount of minerals, which is fine if you're fasting 3-5 days per week. You just don't want it continuously otherwise you will start having an imbalance in minerals. 3:03 The other thing is, if you fast day in and day out, you have a reduction in stomach acid, making digestion more difficult. 3:15 The most important one I want to talk about is your basal metabolic rate (BMR). This is the rate of energy expended while at rest - the amount of calories you burn at rest. The more that you eat and move, the more that rate goes up. So if you're fasting every day, eventually the rate goes down. Now I know we say intermittent fasting is a lifestyle, but it's a lifestyle you use as an add-on to whatever your other diets are. As always, keep it locked in here on the channel and: Like, Share, & Subscribe to SixPackAbs.com I'll see you next time, -Thomas Get The Body You Deserve With Intermittent Fasting: https://ift.tt/2quNi0h
