He grew up loving cars but a bad crash changed his life. He decided to study film at USC and met friends like Steven Spielberg. His first movie did not do well and Hollywood did not believe in him. He had to work very hard and stay focused to make his dreams come true. He even had to take a job just to survive while he planned out a big story about stars and space. ✎ Making his famous space movie was a huge struggle. Studios like Universal Pictures and United Artists said no to the idea. They did not think people would like a movie about robots and aliens. Finally, Alan Ladd Jr. at 20th Century Fox gave him a chance. George was smart and took a lower salary so he could own the rights to the toys and future stories. This deal made him very rich because the movie became a giant hit. He also started a company called Industrial Light and Magic to build new cameras that did not exist yet. ✎ This video also shares the stories of Morgan Freeman and Stephen King. Morgan Freeman did not become a big star until he was 50 years old. He worked many small jobs and never gave up on acting. Stephen King lived in a trailer and had his book rejected 30 times. His wife, Tabitha, even had to pull his story out of the trash. All of these men show that you must bet on yourself.
